Philip Kingsley proudly partnered with leading celebrity hair stylist Carlos Ferraz to create the red-carpet hair look for acclaimed British actress Emily Watson at the 2026 BAFTA Awards ceremony on Sunday 22 February.
As one of British cinema’s most respected talents, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her powerful turn in Hamnet, which scooped Best British Film, Emily looked to Carlos to get her locks red-carpet ready.

For Emily’s beautiful BAFTA look, Carlos focused on creating natural texture and long-lasting hold. To prep the hair prior to styling, our award-winning pre-shampoo mask, Elasticizer Deep-Conditioning Treatment — a tool trusted by stylists for decades — was applied, helping ensure optimal hair condition and quality.
“Due to [Emily’s] statuesque and elegant dress, we opted for a swept-back, clean style with a polished low bun,” revealed Carlos when showcasing the look via his Instagram. “After washing with Moisture Balancing Shampoo and Moisture Balancing Conditioner and detangling with the Vented Paddle Brush, I applied Maximizer Root Boosting Spray to the roots for body and lift. Perfecting Primer, followed by Frizz-Fighting Gloss, were then applied throughout the mid-lengths to the ends and blow dried in using the Radial Brush.
“After securing the hair in a low ponytail, I added more Frizz-Fighting Gloss by twisting and wrapping the ponytail to create the low bun. Finishing Touch Flexible Hold Mist was spritzed all over for hold and control.”
